On the very first week I visited the minister in his chamber.I sat infront of him.But he did not even look at me. I felt a little humiliated.Still i waited there thinking that he was busy.He was entertaining the other visitors. When all the visitors were gone he looked at me indifferently and asked"Ippol evideya?"
I was wondering at the attitude change of him.Adhikam samsarikkathe njan sthalam vittu. There after I met him only officially. When I was collector he had come to my district and I was the welcome speaker in the function.I t was just a protocol. After 5 years he lost the ministership. But he earned fortunes, allegedly amassed wealth,a vigilance case pending ,lost in the next election and now only an EX.Minister.
I met the Ex.minister in a cinema theatre some years back. The film was Lokanathan IAS acted by Kalabhavan mony.In that cinema there is a scene where the Collector(Kalabhavan Mony) slaps the minister. The Ex.Minister said to me"'What a nonsense!.Oru manthriye collector adikkukayo?Ithu evide sambhavikkum?" and waited for my reply(I was also a collector for 2 years)
Njan paranju.
"Nammude chila manthrimar athu arhikkunnundu Sir" He was perplexed to hear my instant reply.
(please dont ask me who is the minister)If you happen to contact me over phone oru pakshe njan paranjuvennu varam)

Wow!!! .... Truth unveils ... :D... its us, the stupid people who worships these idiots...they don't deserve it actually...recently I read somewhere that a politician, I don't remember the name, had made a statement like" The Civil Service Personnel are just clerks with a higher degree" ...
ReplyDeleteThat's the scenery... and your dialog was absolutely right sir...:D kudos

This is not limited to the politicians alone. I know a department head who made his classmate (working as a lower officer in the same department) sent out of his room because he dared to sit in front of the HOD.
Another officer made a tour to districts to evaluate the schemes and met one of his room mates. They were room mates for few years. But, when the turn of the room mate came, he simply asked, "what is your name, and where are you from?" He was not joking, but very serious and even threatened that disciplinary action would be initiated against him if he failed to achieve the targets...
